Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting took place in the Tashkent city administration between the Mayor of Tashkent, Shavkat Umurzakov, and a delegation from the Moscow government led by Minister Sergey Cheremin.
Also present were Deputy Mayors Sharof Rakhmanov and Durdona Rahimova, Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Tashkent Invest Company" Rustam Kadirov, and other officials.
Mayor Umurzakov emphasized the importance of dialogue with Russian regions, noting that this process strengthens the political will of leaders from both countries and provides a solid foundation for productive cooperation. Delegation members were informed about investment potential in Tashkent and major projects, including the Yangi Avlod special industrial zone and the development of an intelligent transport system.
In response, Sergey Cheremin presented successful projects from Moscow, such as the "Moscow Longevity" program and the "Digital Twin of Moscow" initiative. These projects piqued the interest of Tashkent representatives, and both sides agreed to further engage in discussions to develop mutually beneficial agreements.
