Russian Defence Minister Anatoliy Serdyukov is leaving today for Central Asia and the Caucasus on a two-day visit, during which he will visit Uzbekistan and Armenia, Information and Public Relations Service of Russia’s Defence Ministry has told ITAR-TASS news agency.

"During the visit, Serdyukov has plans to hold talks with Uzbek Defence Minister Ruslan Mirzayev and Armenian Defence Minister Mikael Harutyunyan and discuss the problems of regional security and stability, including the issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of defence," the source said.
