Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Callisto Group from Russia, specializing in the development and implementation of marking solutions, has signed an agreement to supply equipment for marking aluminum can lids using laser printing technology in Uzbekistan.

This equipment will be installed at the Eurasia Bottlers plant, which produces mineral waters and non-alcoholic beverages.

The development is a patented solution by Russian engineers and has no analogs worldwide.

Pavel Bulgakov, CEO of the Callisto Group, noted that the technology was developed last year and became the first of its kind not only in Russia but also beyond. It eliminates defects caused by unreadable codes and does not require interference in the production processes of companies, which is particularly valuable for manufacturers.

The equipment is capable of processing up to 80,000 lids per hour, making it suitable for large enterprises with high production volumes and line speeds. Currently, such systems are already successfully operating in breweries, juice producers, water, and soft drink factories in Russia.

Officials at Eurasia Bottlers emphasized that they chose this high-tech Russian development because it does not require significant investment, line operators, or complex integration. It ensures high operational speed and minimal defect rates, enabling an annual production capacity of up to 350 million units.

Starting from 1 August 2024, mandatory marking of aluminum beverage cans will be introduced in Uzbekistan.
