Russian company to launch production of dry sodium cyanide
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- GeoProMining LLC (Russia) plans to implement a project on production of dry sodium cyanide at the Navoiazot open joint-stock company with the cost of US$10 million.

The sides signed an agreement of cooperation, which envisages creation of joint venture on parity bases to realize the project.

The capacity of the enterprise will be 10,000 tonnes of dry sodium cyanide a year, of which 50% will be exported. Other part will be realized to local gold producers - Navoi Mining and Metallurgy Combine and Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine.

The partners are planning to sign constituent documents on creation of the joint venture in the first quarter of 2010. The project will be realized within 12 months.

Navoiazot open joint-stock company was commissioned in 1964 and it is the largest chemical enterprise of Uzbekistan. The company fully owned by the Uzbek government. Navoiazot specializes on production of nitrogen fertilizers, nitronic fiber, etc. The charter capital of the firm is 37.689 billion soums.
