Russian company plans to acquire shares of Andijancable
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Samara Cable Company closed joint stock company (Russia) is planning to purchase shares of Andijancable joint venture in form of open joint stock company.

Russian company disclosed information on purchase of ordinary shares at the size of 79% from total number of voting shares in line with the legislation of Uzbekistan.

Andijancable is one of the largest enterprises, specializing on production of cable products. The plant functions from 1982.

Construction of Andijan Cable Plant started in 1981. The first line was commissioned in 1985. Russian Farial acquired 51% stake in the enterprises for US$1.151 million in 2001. Besides, the Russian company received 19% shares to assets management. In 2001, Andijancable OJSC was reorganized into enterprise with foreign investments.

In line with the decision of shareholders, Andijancable was reorganized into enterprise with foreign investments.

As reported earlier, Andijancable joint venture in form of open joint stock company received net income for 8.3 billion soums in 2010 compared to 3.576 billion soums in 2009.

Samara Cable Company was established in 1955. It is a recognized leader of its industry. SCC produces 2/3 of all communication cables manufactured in Russia. Russian Farial owns shares of Samara Cable Company.
