Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat association Fakhriddin Boboev held negotiations with the head of the Russian company Caravan SK.

The main topic of the meeting was the implementation of an investment project aimed at establishing in our country the production of finished leather through deep processing of raw materials.

During the dialogue, organizational and practical aspects of the implementation of the new investment project were discussed in detail. The investor expressed a desire to bring this project to life in a small industrial zone specialized in the production of leather, footwear and fur products, which is being created in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region.

To implement the project, the Russian side will direct direct investments in the amount of US$4.5 million.

Representatives of the Russian company were provided with comprehensive information about the benefits and preferences provided to business entities as part of the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to further accelerate reforms and increase the export potential of the leather, footwear and fur industries.”

The parties also discussed organizational issues of work, including the procedure for companies’ participation in electronic auctions for the acquisition of land plots in the small industrial zone of the Akhangaran district.

The Association began specific actions to provide a land plot to a foreign investor in accordance with the established procedure.
