Russian companies occupy 50% of the Belarusian cybersecurity market, 19% of the Kazakhstan market and 15% of the Uzbekistan market

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russian companies occupy 50% of the Belarusian cybersecurity market, 19% of the Kazakhstan market and 15% of the Uzbekistan market.

In 2024, companies will earn $35 million, $33 million and $8 million in each country, respectively.

The leaders of Russian exports to countries are Kaspersky Lab, Positive Technologies, Security Code, UserGate and Solar.

The most widespread presence of Russian products is among antiviruses, application security testing systems, security event management platforms and cyber threat analysis platforms.

Piccard conducted a study of the cybersecurity markets of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. These countries were most often cited by Russian companies as the most attractive foreign markets.

Calculations of market shares and sales are taken from sources:

assessments of market sizes for international research and consulting companies,

data on the portfolio of proposed vendors operating in the countries of dealers of cybersecurity solutions. Information was analyzed

materials from 87 companies from Kazakhstan and 51 companies from Belarus and Uzbekistan.

Leaders in exports from Russia

The largest sales are from the companies Kaspersky Lab, Positive Technologies, Security Code, UserGate and Solar:

Kaspersky Lab occupies 13% of the cybersecurity market in Belarus, 8% of the market in Kazakhstan and 5% of the market in Uzbekistan.

Positive Technologies – 10% of the Belarusian market, 4% of the Kazakhstan market and 3% of the Uzbekistan market.

“Security Code” – 6% of the Belarusian market and 1% each of the markets of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

UserGate – 5% of the Belarusian market, 1% of Central Asian markets each.

Solar – 1% in each of the three markets.

Also successful in Belarus are the companies Garda Technologies with a share of 3%, InfoWatch with a share of 2%, as well as Company Ind, Ideco, F.A.C.C.T., Dr.Web and IT Bastion with shares of 1%.

Results in selected market segments

The highest share of sales of Russian products is among antiviruses (AVP), application security testing systems (AST), security event management platforms (SIEM) and cyber threat analysis platforms (TI).

The smallest share of Russian vendors in the segments of cloud security and access control systems.

The main competitor in the markets is the Israeli company Check Point Software Technologies, which has not officially stopped sales in Russia and Belarus, as well as Cisco, Fortinet, IBM, Microsoft and Trellix. The positions of the latter are especially high in the countries of Central Asia.
