Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held between representatives of the Uzcharmsanoat association and the Russian company PFLEL. The main topic of discussion is the development of bilateral cooperation and the establishment of exports to the Russian market of special footwear produced in Uzbekistan. For these purposes, about 10 member enterprises of the Association were involved in the dialogue.

At the beginning of the meeting, PFLEL made a presentation on its production activities and its export opportunities. This brand began its activity in 1997 and today is one of the five largest enterprises in the Russian Federation. It is mainly engaged in the production of special footwear for industrial enterprises. At present, PFLEL’s production capacity has increased 106 times, and the number of workers has exceeded 700 people. The company’s production lines are equipped with German and Italian technology, and it has the capacity to produce 1 million pairs of special shoes per year.

The Russian company held negotiations with Uzbek enterprises on the production of special footwear, as well as the purchase of shoe uppers. At the first stage, PFLEL plans to place an order for 50,000 pairs of shoes in Uzbekistan. Agreements were reached on visits by representatives of the Russian company to manufacturing enterprises in order to get acquainted with the quality of special footwear produced in our country.

As a result of the meeting, tasks were identified for further expanding cooperation in the same direction.
