Russian airline Volga-Dnepr start use of fourth Il-76TD-90VD
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia’s Volga-Dnepr received its fourth Il-76TD-90VD aircraft on the eve of the New Year. New airline already carried out its first commercial flight on direction Moscow-Bahrain-Moscow and returned to Domodedovo airport.

Tashkent Aircraft Production Plant named after Chkalov constructed the fourth Il-76TD-90VD airplane within the agreement, which was signed in 2007. In November 2011, the aircraft was delivered from Tashkent to Ulyanovsk and later was painted to colors of Volga-Dnepr.

Vice-President of Volga-Dnepr Dennis Gliznoutsa said that the growth of Il-76TD-90VD aircraft will allow the company to react market requirements more flexibly and in timely manner. He added that the aircraft recommended itself with good side in cargo transportation and it is demanded by customers. Gliznoutsa noted that there are demands for transportation of freight in the category of up to 50 tonnes.

Volga-Dpenr-Lizing Director-General Andrei Pahomov said that Volga-Dnepr will continue to implement a programme on expanding Il-76 aircrafts fleet.

He said that the company will receive the fifth Il-76TD-90VD in May 2012, construction of which started in Tashkent plant.
