Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 March, at 05:07 local time, an aircraft of the Russian airline Azimut performed the first regular passenger flight on the Sochi-Urgench-Sochi route. By tradition, the Sukhoi Superjet 95 aircraft with 61 passengers on board was solemnly greeted with a water arch.
It is planned that flights from Sochi to Urgench International Airport will be operated once a week - on Wednesdays.
It should be noted that Azimut also connects Urgench with other Russian cities - Moscow and Mineralnye Vody.
Also, from 27 March 2023, the Russian air carrier has increased the frequency of flights in the direction of Mineralnye Vody - Samarkand - Mineralnye Vody. Flights will operate twice a week - on Tuesdays and Fridays. Previously, flights were operated only on Tuesdays.
