"Russia appreciates the friendship with our strategic ally Kazakhstan. Our partnership expands year in and year out, boosted by large projects," the president emphasized.

"We also continue active cooperation in the international arena within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Community, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, and at such multi-party floors as the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe," he said.

"Relations between Russia and Uzbekistan are based on the principles of strategic partnership and allies’ relations in their serious potential. I saw it again during the state visit to Uzbekistan last January. During the visit, the parties expressed mutual intention to actively and comprehensively develop bilateral ties," Medvedev underscored.
