In line with order, Russian ministries will help Uzbekistan in accepting and rendering assistance to refugees, who fled from violence in southern Kyrgyzstan.
Russian Emergency Situations Ministry will direct 120 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Uzbekistan for Kyrgyz refugees. The aid will include food products, blankets, dishes.
Russian ministry will send two aircrafts on 18 June and third one – on 19 June.
According to UNHCR, violence in southern Kyrgyzstan has forced an estimated 300,000 people to flee their homes and seek shelter elsewhere in the country. This is in addition to some 100,000 people who have fled to neighbouring Uzbekistan since 10 June.
