Share of Russia in foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up 26.1% in the first six months of 2011.
According to the State Statistics Committee, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia made up US$3.144 billion in January-June 2011, which grew by 22.3% year-on-year.
The volume of Uzbekistan’s exports to Russia made up US$2.117 billion in January-June 2011 against US$1.705 billion in the same period of 2010. Imports of Uzbekistan from Russia grew from US$866.2 million in January-June 2010 to US$1.028 billion in the same period of 2011.
Kazakhstan was on the second place with 9.5% share. Bilateral trade turnover of these countries hit US$1.148 billion in the first half of 2011, which rose by 55.6% year-on-year.
Uzbekistan’s exports to Kazakhstan grew from US$364.9 million in January-June 2010 to US$632.1 million in the first half of 2011. Imports, in its turn, jumped from US$373.2 million to US$516.3 million in the reporting period.
China was on the third place with the share of 7.8%. Bilateral trade turnover between Uzbekistan and China grew by 6.5% to US$936.8 million in January-June 2011. Exports of Uzbekistan to China increased from US$307 million to US$393.1 million, while imports fell from US$572.9 million to US$543.7 million.
Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up US$12.066 billion in the first half of 2011 (+21%), the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
Trade turnover of Uzbekistan with the CIS states hit US$5.025 billion (+29.9%) and with other states – US$7.041 billion (+15.4%) in the reporting period.
