Share of Russian Federation in foreign trade of Uzbekistan made up 19.1% in January-March 2010 against 22.1% in the same period of 2009, according to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
The second place among the largest trade partners of Uzbekistan belongs to China with the share of 9.4%. Its share also decreased by 4.8 percentage points compared to the first quarter of 2009 (14.2% in 1Q 2009).
Switzerland kept its third place. Share of Switzerland decreased from 12.4% in the first three months of 2009 to 7.2% in the same period of 2010.
Korea Republic moved from the sixth place to fourth, while Kazakhstan fell by one place to fifth. Korea increased its share from 5.7% in January-March 2009 to 5.8% in the same period of 2010. Share of Kazakhstan decreased by 2.3 percentage points to 5.4%.
Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up US$4.321 billion in January-March 2010, of which US$1.399 billion fell to share of the CIS states and US$2.922 billion to non-CIS states. At the same time, US$2.701 billion were exports of Uzbekistan and US$1.62 billion were import operations.
