Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia has expressed its readiness to help Uzbekistan create a new Eltech Industrial technology park in Tashkent region, focused on the production of electronics. This was stated by the press service of the Russian trade mission in Tashkent.

This became known after a working meeting of representatives of the association of clusters, technology parks and special economic zones of Russia with the Uzeltehsanoat association, which unites key enterprises in the electrical industry in Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, issues of strategic planning, technical documentation, investments, benefits and preferences for residents of the technology park were discussed.

The parties agreed on further close cooperation and plan to hold another meeting to discuss specific issues.

Eltech Industrial technology park is being created near the city of Akhangaran (Tashkent region) in accordance with the Presidential Decree from 10 January.

The main task of the technology park is the development of “high-tech electrical equipment of a new type” and corresponding components.

Eltech Industrial technology park is planned to be managed with the involvement of an international consulting company with experience in the field of technological development.
