Russia intends to continue the construction of industrial parks in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia intends to continue the construction of industrial parks in Uzbekistan. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov.

Uzbekistan and Russia are developing industrial cooperation. In particular, the parties are working on large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects.

Supported projects include the creation of a metallurgical cluster based on the Tebinbulak deposit, the construction of a copper processing plant based on the Almalyk GMK, a gas chemical complex in the Bukhara region and thermal power plants.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation announced plans to “replicate” industrial parks opened in Chirchik and Jizzakh region together with Russia in three more regions of Uzbekistan.

According to him, the parties are working on the creation of joint industrial parks in Navoi, Bukhara and Samarkand regions, and are also considering measures to strengthen industrial cooperation.
