Sergey Lavrov underlined that trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia made up US$2 billion in first nine months of 2009. He said this was achieved despite the aftermath of the global financial crisis and a reduction in prices for energy resources.
Russian minister said that over 800 Uzbek-Russian joint ventures operate in Uzbekistan and the Russian side invested over US$1 billion to their charter capital. He said over 350 enterprises with the Uzbek capital work in Russia.
