Russia and Kazakhstan consider transportation of Russian oil to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Russia and Kazakhstan discussed transportation of Russian oil to Uzbekistan through the territory of Kazakhstan.
The issue was discussed during the negotiations between the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak and the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev.
On 4 April 2017, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Russian Ministry of Energy and Uzbekneftegaz NHC.
The document envisages reation of a bilateral working group with the participation of representatives of Kazakhstan.
At present, the parties have begun to explore options for implementing a mechanism for the supply of oil from Russia to Uzbekistan through Kazakhstan.
