Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions (RIR, part of Rosatom State Corporation) took part in the organization of the International Digital Promotion "Smart and Safe Cities: Best Practices and Solutions" in Samarkand, the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The company presented its developments in the field of digital transformation of territories in the direction of SMART CITY. At the event, a number of meetings were held with representatives of telecom companies, relevant ministries and departments, the parties built a productive dialogue and discussed possible cooperation.

The event was held as part of the week of information and communication technologies "ICTWEEK UZBEKISTAN 2022". It was organized by the Russian ANO "Digital Economy" together with the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the state institution "Center for Digital Economy Research" of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of JSC "Digital Platforms and Smart City Solutions" (part of the RIR circuit), PJSC VimpelCom and other organizations.

“Today, much attention is paid to the digitalization of cities both by the state and by business. This is understandable: technology has long and deeply penetrated into the life of every person, and the growing pace of digitalization of economic sectors dictates the need for a transition to effective digital solutions in the areas of public administration and urban planning. Russian cities and regions are confidently implementing digital services. Belgorod region has succeeded in introducing electronic prescriptions for medicines, Kaluga region has optimized the cost of finding unrecorded real estate, and so on. Tatarstan has long been one of the leading smart city regions, and Innopolis is a Mecca for IT companies and professionals who want to use smart city technologies here and now. And in the capital of Russia, artificial intelligence technologies are actively used, among other things. Business and state-owned companies are also actively building the infrastructure of smart cities. Thus, the company Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions, which is part of the state corporation Rosatom, has implemented more than 40 projects for the digital transformation of cities. I am sure that our international digital promotion in Uzbekistan will give the participants a lot of new ideas that can be implemented in the near future,” commented Sergey Plugatorenko, General Director of ANO Tsifrovaya ekonomika.

Experts from leading Russian digital companies presented projects in various areas of urban life. An integrated approach to the digital transformation of Smart City was presented by Alexey Golubev, CEO of Digital Platforms and Smart City Solutions JSC. He demonstrated the company’s developments - digital systems for highly efficient city management. The company’s product portfolio includes solutions for urban management, communal infrastructure, resource supply and urban economy, development of tourism and hospitality industry, interaction with the population, development of entrepreneurial activity, intelligent transport systems and others.

Currently, more than 4 thousand employees of city administrations are its regular users, and more than 50 thousand residents use electronic services every month. The solution is deployed in Zheleznovodsk, Volgodonsk, Kurchatov, Sarov and more than 40 cities throughout the Russian Federation.

It should be noted that the digital product “Smart City Platform version 2.0”, developed by RIR, became the winner of the authoritative competition of IT solutions “PROF-IT. Innovation” in the nomination “Smart City Technologies”.
