The roundtable was attended by the representatives of the prosecutors’ bodies of Uzbekistan.
The event discussed current state and development of the telecommunication network of Uzbekistan, as well as future plans on its modernization. The participants discussed the results of several projects, which were directed at developing and modernizing telecommunication networks.
It was said that outdated analogue telephone stations were replaced to modern digital ones and high-speed digital channels were created based on optic fiber communication lines. Infrastructure, necessary for wireless technologies development, including mobile communication, was created in Uzbekistan.
Participants also discussed development of informatization of Uzbekistan and legislative base directed at developing ICT sector. Use of modern information technologies in state bodies help to raise efficiency of governance and ensure information openness of the state, etc.
The roundtable participants considered theoretical bases of information security and information security of the state bodies. It was said that information security is complex issues, which require joint efforts of state bodies, law enforcement bodies, science institutes and telecommunication operators.
