Specifically, “Dialogue: Education – Business” dealt with problems of personnel policy in fashion. The event has been given the goal of encouraging an increase in the involvement of private business in the national economy and outlining the needs of small and private business for high-caliber specialists.
The round-table enabled the participants to swap experience and ideas in narrowing the gap between the private sector/business and educational institutions for fashion and design. The event also highlighted issues in training personnel for the sector in question and included a discussion on the organization of quality education in Uzbekistan.
The round-table brought together active participants in the sector: Uzbek higher education institutions; colleges; employers (boutiques, trendy clothes shops, textile factories, etc.); sponsors; and London College of Fashion.
The participation in the round-table by members of the London College of Fashion provided the participants with an opportunity to look into the experience of the UK in this sphere.
