ICT opens new forms and opportunities for exchange of information and help to create and strengthen civil society and give opportunity to speed up economic reforms and democratization process.
Introduction of ICT in state administration is important part of providing information to society. This factor helps to raise efficiency of state administration and optimize interaction of the government, business structures and civil society institutes.
Election programme of Adolat Party paid special attention to speed up information exchange between state and economic entities with the society to ensure openness, democratic accountability, as well as introduction of electronic government, which ensure active participation of the society in controlling decisions of the government in social-democratic development of Uzbekistan.
Participants discussed opportunities of modern information technologies for further development of interactive state services for population and business. The participants made several concrete proposals and recommendations directed at further developing national segment of Internet.
Participants underlined that reforming information sector and ensuring speech freedom and access to information, proposed by the Uzbek President, have important social-political importance.
