Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 July 2020, an info tour with the participation of local media was organized in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region.
As part of an info tour organized by the State Committee for Tourism Development, the Agency for Information and Mass Communications and the khokimiyat of Tashkent region, Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov familiarized media representatives with the conditions created for local residents and tourists in Bostanlyk region, including reconstruction work on roads leading to tourist sites.
“Road infrastructure is the “calling card” of any place. If the road is beautiful and safe, it will be convenient primarily for local residents, but also attractive for entrepreneurs and investors.
This road used to not have a uniform shape. In the same year, there were many traffic accidents, as a result of which 9 people died. Currently, the road is being reconstructed and green areas with decorative trees are being created around it. The main thing is that sidewalks were built and night-lighting lamps were installed, and now this road is safe for pedestrians even in the dark.
Residents and tourists who come here feel safe, said Aziz Abdukhakimov. It should be noted that this project is mainly aimed at developing tourism infrastructure and improving the living conditions of the population.
According to road foreman Bahrom Bozorboev, the width of the road was increased from the previous 3.5 meters to 4.5 meters, sidewalks and conditions for residents for evening walks are created along the edge of the road. According to him, 40.0 billion soums were allocated from the state budget for the repair of this road in 2020.
Currently, reconstruction work is underway on an 8.5-kilometer stretch of road. In 2020, a total of 625 km of roads are planned to be repaired in the Bostanlyk region, bring them into exemplary condition like this, and turn the region into a tourist region.
“This, of course, is the first experience, but in the future the roads will be repaired in the same way throughout the republic. Another noteworthy aspect is that children also go to school this way. After the repair, the children will be able to safely go to school on it. "
In addition, media representatives interviewed relevant officials and entrepreneurs about the construction and the situation at other sites.
