Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Devices for photo and video recording of traffic violations in Uzbekistan will now be used to monitor compliance with environmental standards.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures to improve the waste management system and reduce their negative impact on the environment.”

According to this document, entrepreneurs who install means of photo and video recording of traffic violations on roads receive the right to record cases of environmental violations and transmit information about this to the State Environmental Control Inspectorate.

The decree notes that an entrepreneur can count on a monetary incentive in the amount of 20% of the total amount of fines collected.
