Rishod Sobirov becomes Judo World Champion
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan’s judoka Rishod Sobirov became the World Champion in the 60 kg weight category. Japan’s Tokyo is hosting World Championship.
In the final bout, Rishod Sobirov faced Ukraine’s Georgii Zantaraia. The first half of bout was equal. But Rishod Sobirov recorded two waza-ari points to win gold of the World Championship.
Before the final, Uzbekistani judoka defeated Yanislav Gerchev (Bulgaria), Jin-Min JANG (Korea, South), Ali Khousrof (Yemen), Elio Verde (Italy) and Beslan Mudranov (Russia).
