RFA opens IT Services Center in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the Shared Services and Offshore Outsourcing Conference, a meeting was held between Sherzod Shermatov, the Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Farhod Ibragimov, the CEO of IT Park, and a delegation from the American company RFA, which included CEO Johan Kim and President and COO Michael Escher.

RFA has registered its legal entity in Uzbekistan and is currently preparing to obtain resident status at IT Park Uzbekistan, showing particular interest in the Zero Risk program in Chirchik. The company plans to hire local talented employees with the goal of exporting its digital services abroad.

RFA specializes in providing a full range of technology solutions for over 800 hedge funds, private equity firms, asset management companies, and investment managers. Among the services offered are cloud solutions, IT service management, cybersecurity, data handling, application services, and managed detection and response systems. The company’s headquarters is located in New York, with 15 offices worldwide (including in the USA, UK, Luxembourg, Spain, France, India, Singapore, the Philippines, and Japan), employing over 300 staff.

During the meeting, discussions were held regarding government support and additional measures that the government of Uzbekistan could provide to create the most favorable conditions for RFA’s operations.

CEO Johan Kim expressed his interest in the opportunities available in Uzbekistan, emphasizing the importance of the country’s technology labs. He highlighted that Uzbekistan is an ideal location for establishing a new operational office aimed at outsourcing IT projects. For their first project, the company required five key positions, and thanks to collaboration with IT Bilim, Uzbekistan provided highly qualified specialists, which left RFA’s HR department completely satisfied.

The opening of the IT center in Uzbekistan is a significant step for both parties. For Uzbekistan, this event opens new opportunities for attracting foreign investment in the IT services sector, enhances the country’s export potential, and creates new jobs. For RFA, the new center represents a strategic entry into the regional market, leveraging Uzbekistan’s optimal business environment and expanding the export of IT services.
