In the structure of retail trade turnover the share of food products was 50.1% and non-food products – 49.9% (in January- September 2011 – 51.2% and 48.8% respectively).

In January-September 2012, the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises reached 9.601 trillion soums or increased by 3.1% year-on-year. In the structure of the retail trade the turnover of trade enterprises was 36.7%.

In the total turnover of trade enterprises, the share of the retail trade turnover of trade enterprises in the rural area reached 24.7%.

The sale of agricultural products and livestock in dekhkan markets grew by 19.8% and reached 11.098 trillion soums. The share of sales in the retail trade turnover was 42.5%.

The goods turnover of commodity and specialized markets was 5.428 trillion soums or 17.5% higher than in January-September 2011. The share of the informal sector in the total volume of goods turnover was 20.8%.
