Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Following the first session of the Higher Intergovernmental Council, a signing ceremony was held for bilateral documents.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a Joint Statement, as well as decisions of the Higher Intergovernmental Council approving the Strategic Partnership and Alliance Program for 2024-2034 and the establishment of the Council of Foreign Ministers.

During the visit, a package of documents was adopted, covering a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues, including:

- Intergovernmental Agreement on the State Border Regime;

- Protocols amending intergovernmental agreements on border crossing points and international road transport;

- Intergovernmental Plan of Actions for Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation for 2024-2025;

- Agreement on Agricultural Cooperation;

- Agreement on Health Cooperation;

- Protocol on Cooperation between Economic Ministries;

- Protocols on Cooperation in Natural Monopoly Regulation and Competition Policy;

- Memorandum on the Establishment of the Uzbek-Kazakh Expert Council;

- Agreement on Mutual Understanding between the Committee for International Relations and Friendly Ties of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Otandastar Foundation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- Plan of Practical Actions for Expanding Cooperation between the Tashkent City Administration and the Astana City Administration in trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres for 2024-2026.
