Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Law signed by the President amended the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

Respectively:

Violation of conformity assessment rules by conformity assessment bodies, resulting in the release of products that do not meet the requirements of technical regulations, or causing damage to an individual or legal entity that provided products for conformity assessment, entails a fine:

for officials in the amount of 10 to 40 sizes of basic evaluated value (from 3 million 300 thousand soums to 13 million 200 thousand soums).

The commission of this offense repeatedly within a year after the application of an administrative penalty entails the imposition of a fine:

for officials in the amount of 40 to 80 sizes of basic evaluated value (from 13 million 200 thousand soums to 26 million 400 thousand soums).

Previously, such a rule did not exist.

Also, the chief state inspector for ensuring compliance with the requirements of the legislation in the field of technical regulation, standardization, conformity assessment and metrology and his deputies have the right to apply administrative penalties in the form of a fine of up to 80 sizes of basic evaluated value (up to 26 million 400 thousand soums).

Previously, the amount of this penalty was up to 7 sizes of basic evaluated value.

The law comes into force in 3 months from the date of its official publication.
