Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law that introduces amendments to a number of legislative acts.

According to the amendments to the Code of Administrative Responsibility, liability is now established for the repeated issuance of an electoral ballot by a member of the election commission or referendum commission to a citizen, as well as for issuing a ballot on behalf of others.

In addition, a change has been made introducing administrative responsibility for the failure to submit or the untimely submission of an interim or final report to the Central Election Commission on the expenditure of state funds allocated to political parties for participating in elections, or for providing knowingly false information in the report.

The law comes into effect from the moment of its official publication.
