Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law that amends several legislative acts.

The law introduces changes to the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Responsibility, establishing accountability for domestic violence against children.

An addition to the Criminal Procedure Code states that a reconciliation statement in cases related to domestic violence can only be submitted at the stage of court proceedings.

The law comes into effect from the moment of its official publication.
