Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — JSC “Regional Electric Networks” (RES) has responded to recent reports on social media regarding unjustified debts for electricity.
Users have complained about errors in billing, claiming that when they tried to address the issue, they were told that the debts were from previous years.
The company explained that since August of this year, a new software system called HET BILLING has been implemented. During the transfer of archival data from the old system to the new one, inaccuracies appeared in the personal accounts of some users.
Currently, work is being done in the regions where errors were detected, with additional specialists brought in to correct the issues.
The new platform was launched on 1 August, and preparatory work was completed on 6 August. On 15 August, the HET BILLING mobile application was released, available for free download on devices with Android and iOS operating systems. The app’s software updates automatically.
