Representatives of Uzbekistan and Ireland Discuss Prospects for Bilateral Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan held an online meeting with Colm McGarvey, Director of the European Neighbourhood Engagement Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, the Dunyo news agency reported.

During the talks, the Irish side was presented with information on the extensive reforms being carried out across all spheres of public and state life in the New Uzbekistan.

The interlocutors discussed the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Irish relations, with particular attention to the intensification of bilateral political dialogue, cooperation within international organizations, expansion of inter-parliamentary contacts, and diversification of trade, economic, and investment cooperation.
Cultural and humanitarian partnership issues, including in the field of education, were also considered.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue diplomatic contacts to develop practical steps for realizing the existing potential of cooperation in the identified areas.
