Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Currently, a delegation of employees of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the staff of the Tashkent State Agrarian University and the leadership of the Gallaaral Technical College in Jizzakh region is on a working visit to the United States of America.

During the trip, organized within the framework of the project "Transforming agricultural schools into modern educational institutions", the participants visited the technical school "Ridley College" in Los Angeles. After meeting with director Dr. Jerry Buckley and Associate Director Dale van Dam invited guests to explore the modern animal husbandry complex, intensive and traditional gardens, laboratories and applied mechanics processes on the 60-hectare technical campus.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached on the creation of bilateral curricula and educational programs, advanced training of teaching staff, and a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed.

During the trip, the guests visited the largest private intensive garden in Los Angeles. The orchard, founded in the 19th century, today grows grapes and peaches, supplying local and European markets with quality fruit. The host country provided a lot of important information about modern methods of organizing such intensive gardens, in particular about planting and watering systems.
