Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation consisting of representatives of several Chinese travel agencies visited Karakalpakstan to study the tourism potential and development opportunities in this area.
During their visit, the guests initially got acquainted with the rich history and culture of the region by visiting several cultural heritage sites located in the historical complex of Mizdakhan in Khojeyli district: the Mazlumkhan Sulu mausoleum, the Khalifa Erezhep madrasah, the Zhomart Kassob hill, the Shamun Nabi mausoleum and others.
In the afternoon, the guests visited the Igor Savitsky Museum, which is known to the world as the “Louvre in the Desert” and is located in Nukus.
On the second day of the visit, members of the delegation had a meeting with the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orinbayev.
At the meeting, details were presented about the adopted resolutions and decisions aimed at increasing the investment attractiveness of the region and supporting entrepreneurship.
As a result of the meeting, agreements on bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism were signed.
