Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Leading representatives of Egyptian jewellery industry, Egypt Jewellery Committee Chairman Ihab Wasef, founder of Kirmena Jewellery Mamdouh Abdallah Gabala, founder of King Gold Faizi Shaker and Professor of Helwan Karam Mosaad Ahmed Mohamed Farag University, visited Bukhara region on 1 March.

In Bukhara, they met with jewellers and artisans of jewelry school, located on Khoja Nurabad Street.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held at the provincial khokimiyat. At the beginning of the meeting, regional governor Botir Zaripov expressed satisfaction with mutual friendship and mutually beneficial trade-economic, cultural-educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egypt in recent years has been developing in all aspects.

The head of delegation from the Arab Republic of Egypt, chairman of the Jewelry Committee Ihab Wasfi Amin Wassef expressed gratitude to the khokim of Bukhara region for the warm welcome and hospitality, and noted that friendship and brotherhood between the countries dates back to ancient history and that even now in the Arab country, Uzbekistan, Samarkand and Bukhara are well known. He admitted that he was well aware of the scientific legacy of the great scholar Ahmad Farghani and the founder of medicine Ibn Sina.

In turn, he noted that the official visit of President of Uzbekistan to Egypt was a historic step in the development of bilateral relations. Undoubtedly, this visit of practical and constructive significance will bring its fruits in the areas of cultural and social, tourism and handicrafts. He also expressed confidence that the projects of Egyptian investors will certainly be realized in ancient Bukhara. According to the programme of the delegation’s visit to the region, a tour of Bukhara sights was organised for them.
