Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15-18 October, a delegation of Uzbek entrepreneurs led by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan took part in the 43rd international exhibition of carpets - INDIA CARPET EXPO-2022, held in Bhadohi, India.

This exhibition was organized by the Indian Carpet Export Promotion Council under the Ministry of Textiles of the Government of the Republic of India in 2001. This exhibition is held twice a year in different cities of the country and is one of the largest exhibitions in Asia in the field of carpet weaving, in particular, handmade carpets.

According to the organizers, more than 300 local and foreign companies took part in the exhibition with their products. The exhibition was visited by more than 10,000 people, including more than 400 people from 50 countries.

As part of the event, Uzbek entrepreneurs held B2B meetings with large Indian companies in the field of carpet production, demonstrated the rich cultural heritage of our country in the field of carpet weaving and popularized the skills of Uzbek carpet weavers among carpet buyers.

Indian companies highly appreciated the great achievements of our country in recent years in the field of textiles, especially in the field of carpet weaving, and expressed interest in establishing direct contacts with their Uzbek colleagues.
