Remittance turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia reaches US$7.196bn soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Total volume of money transfers between Uzbekistan and Russia grew by 18.27% year-on-year in 2013 – from US$6.084 billion to US$7.196 billion.

According the Central Bank of Russia, total sum of remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan made up US$6.663 billion soums in 2013 against US$5.668 billion in 2012. The growth rate made up 17.02%.

At the same time, the sum of one transaction from Russia to Uzbekistan reached US$593 in 2013 against US$596 in 2012 (-0.5%).

The volume of remittances from Uzbekistan to Russia grew from US$416 million in 2012 to 563 million in 2013 (+35.34%). The average sum of one transaction grew from US$1,742 in 2012 to US$1,901 in 2013.

In the fourth quarter of 2013, total volume of remittances between Uzbekistan and Russian made up US$1.875 billion compared to US$1.721 billion in the same period of 2012.

From Russia to Uzbekistan, remittances for US$1.724 billion were sent in last quarter of 2013 (US$1.602 billion in 4Q 2012) and from Uzbekistan to Russia – US$151 million (US$119 million in 4Q 2012).

The Central Bank of Russia monitors such money transfer systems as Anelik, BLIZKO, Coinstar Money Transfer, Contact, InterExpress, Migom, MoneyGram, PrivatMoney, UNIStream, Western Union, Aziya Express, ALLYUR, Blitz, Bystraya Pochta, Zolotaya Korona and LIDER, as well as Pochta Rossii.
