Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva, within the framework of the 68th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women in New York, held a meeting with the Deputy Chairperson of the National Working Committee for Children and Women under the State Council, Deputy Chairperson All China Women’s Federation of the People’s Republic of China Huang Xiaowei.

Issues of strengthening trade, economic, investment cooperation, inter-parliamentary relations between our countries, and expanding cooperation in the field of poverty reduction were considered.

It was especially noted that the open and trusting relationship between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Chairperson Xi Jinping laid a solid foundation for expanding and strengthening multilateral cooperation.

The parties exchanged views on the implementation of joint projects and programs in the field of gender equality.

A proposal has been put forward to establish a regular dialogue between the Family and Women’s Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the relevant Senate committee and the All-China Women’s Federation, including signing a Memorandum of Cooperation.

An agreement was also reached on the exchange of experience in the field of social protection and insurance, targeted assistance to the population, and cooperation in studying legislative activities in this direction.
