The document, which enters into force on 26 July 2009, regulates investment activity of the insurance and re-insurance companies of Uzbekistan.

The regulation said insurers and reinsurance firms can invest in state securities of Uzbekistan and foreign states, banking certificates, deposits at the credit organizations, real estate and movables, participate in charter capital of enterprises and securities, registered in line with the legislation of Uzbekistan or registered by the corresponding foreign regulators.

The document added that insurance companies can also invest other objects, which are not prohibited with the legislation of Uzbekistan.

The regulation also set requirements to carrying out investment activity of the insurance and reinsurance organizations.
