Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27-28 November, the Agency for the Development and Regulation of Energy Markets of Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank are hosting a regional summit in Tashkent under the theme “Regional Energy Reforms: Enhancing Regulatory Practices.”
The event gathers approximately 40 international participants, including experts and representatives from international financial organizations and regulatory bodies in Georgia, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan, along with a representative from the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA).
The two-day summit features lectures and discussions on key topics such as regulatory reform fundamentals, energy market dynamics, the transition to sustainable energy, digitalization, and innovation in the energy sector.
The primary objective is to establish a robust and transparent regulatory framework that fosters sustainable regional development. The summit also aims to promote knowledge-sharing among regulatory bodies, provide practical support for addressing shared challenges, and strengthen regional energy partnerships for long-term sustainable growth.
