Uzbekistan State Demonopolization Committee said the regional programmes were developed in Namangan region, Syrdarya region, Jizzakh region and Samarkand region. The programmes designed for 2009-2012.
The committee said the Namangan region programme envisages creation of 1,177 new businesses in industry sector and 5,121 in service sector. The programme stipulates to create 15,144 workplaces in industry and 48,214 in service sector. Besides, it is planned to create 105,440 outworks, including 29,581 on work contracts.
It is expected to create 874 enterprises in industry with 6,592 workplaces and 3,533 enterprises in service sector with 13,898 new workplaces in Syrdarya region in 2009-2012. In the reporting period, it is planned to create 859 new industrial businesses in Jizzakh region, which will provide 4,103 workplaces. The service sector will expand with 3,265 new businesses and 14,559 workplaces in the reporting period.
The programme for Samarkand region envisages creation of 2,433 industrial enterprises and 5,478 businesses in service sector. The industrial enterprises will provide jobs for 17,891 people and service businesses for 32,766 people.
