BELAZ said that it supplied 49 BELAZ mining dump trucks to Navoi Mining and Metallurgy Combine (NGMK), one of main customers of Belarusian firm in Uzbekistan.

BELAZ and NGMK signed a large agreement on supply of 13 BELAZ mining dump trucks with capacity of 220 tonnes in the result of the visit of BELAZ director-general to Uzbekistan in the second half of 2012. The Belarusian company said that this is the first contract on supply of such trucks to NGMK and Uzbekistan as a whole.

Muruntau is one of the largest gold mines in the world. The gold is produced with open mining method. The Pit depth exceeds 600 meters. NGMK mined 1,186 tonnes of gold and mine reserves makes up 2,230 tonnes of gold.

NGMK uses over 200 BELAZ mining dump trucks. Recently, NGMK purchased equipment from the United States and Japan, but the Uzbek company mainly modernizes its trucks with BELAZ.

BELAZ said that it will continue cooperation with Uzbekistan in 2013.
