Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A 15-kilometer section of the A-380 international highway "Guzar – Bukhara – Nukus – Beineu" has been successfully reconstructed in Karakalpakstan.
The renovated stretch, located in Amudarya district, was officially inaugurated.
The ceremony was attended by Amanbay Orynbaev, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Karakalpakstan.
During the event, road workers received new trucks and specialized equipment in recognition of their efforts.
It is worth noting that in 2022, the Asian Development Bank allocated $273.8 million for road development in Uzbekistan, part of which was used to reconstruct an 87-kilometer section (228-315 km) of the A-380 highway "Guzar – Bukhara – Nukus – Beineu."
This highway segment is a crucial component of the international transportation corridors of the European Route E-40 and Asian Route AN-63, which traverse Uzbekistan.
