Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Spanish giants Real Madrid are showing serious interest in Abdulkodir Khusanov, a 20-year-old defender for French club Lens and the Uzbekistan national team. This information was shared by Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Foot Mercato reports that over 10 clubs are targeting the young Uzbek player, with Real Madrid being one of the prominent ones. 

The Spanish club has already established contact with the player’s representatives.

Earlier reports indicated interest from other top European clubs, including Manchester City and Atlético Madrid.

Lens plans to sell Khusanov during the upcoming winter transfer window and is open to offers exceeding €25 million.

Khusanov began his career at Bunyodkor before moving to Belarusian club Energetik-BGU. In the summer of 2023, he joined Lens for €100,000, quickly becoming a key defender for the French side and attracting attention from major European clubs.
