Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A working group composed of representatives of the State Committee for Tourism Development and its regional administration, as well as local authorities examined the readiness to restore 16 sanatoriums, 12 camps and 22 public catering facilities in Namangan region.
In accordance with the order of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Aziz Abdukhakimov on the restoration of activities based on temporary sanitary rules and norms during the COVID-19 pandemic, the sanitary and hygienic condition of tourist facilities was studied.
According to the results of studies conducted in the cities of Namangan and Kosonsoy, Naryn, Pop, Turakurgan, Uychi, Uchkurgan, Chartak, Chust districts, relevant recommendations were given on the safe provision of services to tourists in sanatoriums, camps and restaurants. It should be noted that from 1 June domestic tourism in the “green” and “yellow” categories has resumed.
At the same time, tourism entities are required to act in strict accordance with established sanitary and hygienic standards and requirements. This is stated in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 28 May 2020 “On urgent measures to support the tourism sector to reduce the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic”.
