Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A ceremony of presenting awards at the annual India’s Best Awards - 2019 tourist award took place in Delhi, Dunyo reported.

The event was held by the Indian office of the leading international travel magazine Travel + Leisure, which is the founder of the above award.

The prizes were awarded to foreign countries and states of India in 50 nominations, including “The Best Family Travel”, “The Best Destination for the Honeymoon”, “The Best Destination for the Wedding”, “The Best Resort Hotel” and others.

Uzbekistan won the prize in the nomination "The best tourist destinations of cultural and historical heritage" along with Mexico.

It should be noted that the determination of the witnesses was carried out by online voting of readers of the magazine and its subscribers in social networks.

Travel + Leisure magazine is published in the United States, Australia, China, Europe and Southeast Asia, as well as in many other countries.

At the event, the editor of Travel + Leisure magazine, Aindrila Mitra, announced her intention to publish on the implementation in 2020 of special information projects on the tourism potential of Uzbekistan.
