Locomotive Tashkent will kick of its AFC Champions League campaign from qualification round. Tashkent club will play against Al Nasr (UAE). The match will be held in the UAE on 9 February 2013.

The winner of the match will be in Group C along with Sepahan (Iran) , AL Gharafa (Qatar) and Al Ahli (Saudi Arabia).

Ravshan Mukimov said that AFC Champions League is new stage for the club. He added that there is no weak clubs in the AFC Champions League. At the same time, Mukimov said that the club will try to clinch a berth in the group stage of the league.
