Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The holy month of Ramadan in Uzbekistan will begin on 1 March, according to a presidential decree by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, citing the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.
The decree highlights that Ramadan has long been a symbol of kindness, mercy, and generosity for the people of Uzbekistan. The country continues large-scale efforts to ensure freedom of conscience, preserve and pass on Islamic values, and strengthen an atmosphere of peace, interethnic harmony, and religious tolerance.
