Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Rustam Minnikhanov, the Rais of Tatarstan, has arrived on a working visit to the Uzbek city of Navoi, where he plans to visit several enterprises. This was reported by the press service of the Republic of Tatarstan.

At the international airport, Minnikhanov was greeted by Normat Tursunov, the head of the Navoi region, Uzbekistan's Minister of Energy, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, and the Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan.

In addition to visiting enterprises, the program of the Tatarstan President's visit also includes meetings with regional leadership to discuss the implementation of joint projects.

Earlier, on 14 June, Rustam Minnikhanov met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Erkin Hamraev, to discuss strengthening cooperation between the republics within the framework of Russian-Uzbek relations.

Also, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 6, he met with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Khojaev, to discuss current and prospective joint projects in the Bukhara and Navoi regions.

During the meeting with Uzbekistan's Minister of Energy, they also discussed aspects of implementing industrial projects in the specified regions. Rustam Minnikhanov shared expectations regarding upcoming proposals for residency, which will enable companies to fully prepare for the completion of construction.
